Why Foyer asks for access to your Google Account

Foyer requests the minimum Google data it needs to do the two jobs described above: sign you in, and display your calendar next to your tasks. Here is exactly what it asks for and why.

Your name, email address, and profile picture

Used to sign you in and to label your account inside Foyer, so your tasks and notes are tied to you and nobody else.

Read-only access to your Google Calendar

Used to show your existing events next to your tasks, so you can plan a day around meetings you have already committed to. Requested only if you choose to connect a calendar, and only ever read. Foyer cannot create, edit, or delete calendar entries.

Foyer does not sell your data, does not share it with third parties, does not use it for advertising, and does not use it to train AI models. You can disconnect a Google Calendar at any time from Foyer’s settings, which deletes the stored calendar data and access tokens, or revoke Foyer’s access directly from your Google Account permissions.

Getting an account

Foyer is an independent project rather than a commercial product, and it is free to use. Accounts are currently created on request instead of through open sign-up. To ask for one, email riungemaina@gmail.com. If you already have an account, sign in below.
